The Adventure of God Backyard - NZ South Island
Hi, My name is Le Bin. I am very passionate in my photography. I love to discover the wonder of natural landscape. After some study and research, I found out a place, it is like a heaven for landscape photographer, and actually not too far away from where I am now, Melbourne. 

I want to utilize every moment, previously I had finished my personal project, Project 100+ , portrait of 100 plus people I on the street within time length of 3 days or duration of 9.5 hours. And I done it right before my 21st birthday. So,be sure you check out about it. 


Here is my plan, to make it happen, I need your help.


I have a few weeks of break in Melbourne, I wonder if I could use this opportunity to pay a visit to 'God's Backyard', to practice my photography skills. I am with the technical ability and passion to capture the beauty of  South Island of New Zealand. 

Through out the trip, I will try to capture every moment with my camera, my lens also ANALOG FILM!!! Yes. I might bring my EOS100 and EOS5 for the extra challenge and meaningful. Both of them are Film camera. 

Now, I have already schedule the time for travel, also got the encouragement  for taking up this exciting adventure, plus, have a few friends in NZ (who going to help me out if I going to start my adventure). 
BUT, I need some financial support. Although I'm going to travel with a tight budget, I still need a little bit more financial help to make it happen.
The Plan 
Ideally, I'm going to take a flight from Melbourne to Christchurch around the last week of Nov, and meet up with my friend, Winson Lee, another passionate photographer, who is currently working in NZ with a holiday working visa.

We will be travelling south, towards Queenstown. Journey take about 6-7 days, to have sufficient time to plan, wait and capture the magic moment. We possibly will be passing by Tekapo, Franz Josef, Mt.Cook, Twizel and a few more spectacular location, of course not forgetting my newly discovered location After that, We will travel around Queenstown (plenty of nice spots I found) for a few more days before I conclude this adventure, around ten-ish of Dec. 

To work within tight budget, I will be staying in backpacker accommodation. Yet, I still need to spend a fair bit for my whole journey.

Risks and challenges

QUANTITY OF SCENE - I plan on photographing more than 10 different areas, but all I did was research on net, and more research before meet them in real person. 
The way to overcome this challenge is just to give myself a lot of time which also helps to allow for flexibility to be in the right place at the right time. I will work hard to not be rushed between locations.

STORAGE: I estimate over 200GB of storage based on recent figures of up to 20gb a day (timelapses, video footage, bracketing and multiple shoots. )
I will get HDDs and a lot of backup and extra care to make sure nothing is lost.

EXPENSIVE ENDEAVOR 
Flight tickets. I will be grateful if another can get cheaper flight tickets for me. 
The cost of the rewards themselves may claim 30-40% of the funding amount. 
Fuel alone may cost few hundards NZD. 
And storage and backup solution for all the video and photos, will cost a couple of HDD.  
The cheapest aspect of the project is probably food and housing.

Total cost of the trip
About 2.4 thousand dollars needed for the stay of 13 days. Inclusive flight tickets, accommodation, car rental, oil and gas, food, insurance, and miscellaneous.  
I know this is not a enjoyful or relaxing trip, it gonna be budget and challenging, but I will overcome them.
